The main Library is located at the heart of central campus and everyone is welcome. Spread over 5 floors, it provides:

  • Over 1 million books and print materials – Find out more about using the collection
  • Noise zones – The Library is zoned into silent, quiet and collaborative areas to support everyone
  • Accessible Study Rooms – These bookable rooms are open to students registered with disability services
  • Breathing Space – This relaxation room is a place for quiet reflection and a break from study
    • A place to refresh and refocus on your own self, you can take a breath in a tranquil setting without having to leave the building
    • Some of the Library’s Library community events supporting wellbeing will also take place here, and it will also house some of the Library’s leisure reading collection
  • Co-creation space – A space where students can work in partnership with academic colleagues, professional services and each other to co-create their educational experience
    • Available for student use outside of bookings
  • Study Lounge – You will find this space tucked behind the Welcome Point on the first floor of the Library
    • You may take cold food, hot drinks, and your work into this area
    • Use the comfy seats and enjoy the view of Library Road
    • This is a collaborative zone, but please moderate your noise levels
  • Lib 1 - This area is found on the ground floor near Café Library and is a dedicated study space
    • Please note: it is currently undergoing refurbishment to enhance and improve the student study space and will be open for the start of Welcome Week
  • Wolfson Research Exchange - is located in the Library on the Floor 3

The Wolfson Research Exchange is on the Floor 3 Extension of the Library. It is a community space and study space for researchers at Warwick and provides:

  • Study spaces
  • Bookable seminar rooms – 3 flexible seminar rooms for research-led events
  • Lockers - available on a termly basis
  • Small kitchen area - dispensing hot and cold water with complimentary tea, coffee and sugar (hot food is not permitted)
  • PCs - as well as print, scan and copy machines
  • Wolfson Research Exchange - is located in the Library on the Floor 3

The BioMed Grid is located in the Medical School building on Gibbet Hill campus. It is for all students based at Gibbet Hill, and provides:

  • Book collection - The books in the BioMed Grid are available to use whilst studying in the space but they cannot be taken away for use at home
  • Study space -The BioMed Grid is a flexible and informal space for individual or group study, tailored specifically to the needs of Biological Sciences and Medical Students
  • PCs - as well as print, scan and copy machines

The Learning Grid Rootes is located at the heart of central campus near the Piazza, and is open to all Warwick students. It provides:

  • Study space for you to study collaboratively on campus. Rootes also hosts cultural events and Library community wellbeing events
  • PCs as well as print, scan and copy machines

The Learning Grids 1&2 University House are located at edge of central campus, nearest to Westwood Campus. They provide:

  • Study spaces - Learning Grid University House comprises two study zones, Learning Grid 1 (LG1) and Learning Grid 2 (LG2), both offering flexible and informal spaces for group or individual study. quiet and collaborative areas
  • Accessible Study Room -These bookable rooms are open to students registered with Disability Services
  • PCs as well as print, scan and copy machines

The Postgrad Hub is located in Junction. The space is specifically for our postgraduate community and provides:

  • Study space
  • Accessible Study Room - This bookable room is open to students registered with Disability Services
  • Bookable space - The Postgrad Hub has facilities for independent and group study, presentations, meetings and workshop
  • Relaxation space - In addition to its study areas, the Postgrad Hub also acts as an informal space to chat and socialise with peers, with a relaxation room for you to get some space away from your study to recharge and refresh
