'Recreating Illumination Scenarios for Vehicle Interior Evaluations'

Claire is a Doctoral Research Engineer with WMG at the University of Warwick, UK.

In 2011 she was awarded an EPSRC studentship to pursue an industrial research project into the daylight evaluation of vehicle interiors for Jaguar Land Rover.

Claire began her engineering career in the UK defence industry as a weapons performance analyst with what is now Lockheed Martin UK. Her work on Aircraft Self Damage & Release Clearance was published in RAF aircraft manuals, to plan the safe release of air weapons.

Her first design role was with SEOS Displays Ltd as a systems design engineer, where she designed large collimated displays and optical layouts for commercial and military flight simulators.

She returned to the defence industry as a design engineer with ITT Corp. In 2008 her work on a collaborative project with BAE Systems for the MoD won a BAE Systems Chairman’s Bronze Award and her design solution was installed across the entire UK Typhoon fleet.
