DIMAP post-doctorial position

The Centre for Discrete Mathematics and its Applications (DIMAP) together with the Foundations of Computer Science (FoCS) Research Group is advertising a 1-year postdoctoral fellow position in the broadly understood area of the Design and the Analysis of Algorithms, Algorithms and Complexity, Algorithmic Graph Theory, and Game Theory. The postdoc will be affiliated with the Centre for Discrete Mathematics and its Applications and with the Foundations of Computer Science (FoCS) Research Group at the Computer Science Department, University of Warwick.

The postdoc will be expected to work with DIMAP and FoCS academics, research fellows, and graduate students (including Artur Czumaj, Matthias Englert, Dan Král', Mike Paterson, Ben Sach, Maxim Sviridenko, Alex Tiskin, Justin Ward, and Stanislav Živný).

Candidates are required to have a PhD in Computer Science or related discipline, should be able to demonstrate excellent research potential in algorithms or related areas. Candidates should have finished a PhD in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field, or be on track to finish one by December 2012.

The deadline for the applications is on Wednesday 31 October 2012.

The post-doc is expected to start as early as possible, but not later than on April 1, 2013.
